In 2012 she founded the boutique agency Nitty Gritty, leading the ideation of physical and digital products, spearheading strategies, hiring and training teams, overseeing editorial teams and brand partnerships and supporting businesses through growth, repositioning and sale. Now working under Special Projects, she is based between Melbourne and Athens.

Kat mentors emerging marketers through the Australian Marketing Institute, she has spoken on panels for Music Vic, Screen Victoria and AHPRA and delivered workshops for organisations such as Craft Victoria, the State Library of Victoria and artsACT.

A music lover, Kat also sits on the advisory board of The Last Chance Foundation, advocating for venues and musicians across Australia.
